Lamesa Middle School
Room 312

I teach technology classes at Middle School. This is my second year at Middle School after working at Lamesa High School for several years. I will be teaching Keyboarding, Technology, and Professional Communication. Although an education is no guarantee for success, it does give you options and opens opportunities. Technology is here and is used in almost every aspect of our lives. Students should be familiarized with current technology and be aware it is constantly changing.

I enjoy teaching and decided to return to teaching after many years in the business world. Currently, I am also the LMS Student Council Sponsor.

I have one child left at home who is a Senior at Lamesa High School.

My conference time is 4th period at Middle School (11:16 to 12:01).

Please leave a message at the desk, 872-8301, and I will return your call.

Professional Communication

Students will prepare presentations in this class both oral and video.  Students will also work on professional production work.  By the end of class the students should be much more comfortable presenting information to a group and producing individual projects. Students will also hone their skills in listening, vocabulary, and group activities in the class.

Students will use the computer as a tool to produce proper documents in WORD.

This will be the first 6 to 9 weeks of class followed by EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and Photoshop. The students will integrate all programs and use a computer more efficiently.

I expect students to be on time, ready to work, follow directions, and be respectful to everyone in the class at all times.

The students will learn correct touch entry for the first 7 weeks.

This will be accomplished through on-line web interaction as well as hard copy entry. The students will continue to work on accuracy and speed as well as be introduced to WORD processing and be exposed to EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and briefly exposed to PHOTOSHOP.

I expect students to be on time, be prepared to work, be respectful to all, and follow directions and classroom rules.
